Webpage For MARIGOLD~

We had to redesign webpages for a company of our choice, preferably having referenced from a winning brand's website.

My client is MARIGOLD. It has an image heavy website, making it full of activity and vitality. The scrolling interface with different promotions are also there to catch the viewer's eyes. It is bright and vibrant, showing all the colours and wonders of its products.

However, there seems to be too many activities going on that the viewers may get lost or distracted. Information could get lost among all these colours.
My first winning brand was F&N. It has a soft and relaxing website. It is not so image heavy and thus it looks much more simple and organised.
I decided to make a brand new website with the subtlety and calmness similar to F&N. Taking out most of MARIGOLD's rambunctious activities and substituting with a plain orange background.
However, the website now seems really dull and boring. The small images at the sides don't stand out at all. The whole layout of the website also seems really plain compared to the vibrant and image heavy homepage. Everything seems too cramped and information is looks easily lost, much like the original website.

I changed the layout, going for a more vibrant and active background similar to the original.
I added orange splatter and some watermark behind. The inside arrangement didn't change much, however. It looks much more vibrant and inviting, but it doesn't look alive at all. Everything seems to be at a stand still.

My lecturer told me to add people, to make it more alive. And I did, with a totally different layout this time. I changed my reference website to Pokka instead.
Pokka has a similar website layout compared to F&N, but it has people in it, which gives it the life and energy that F&N does not have. The silver gradient was also really high end and sophisticated.

This is how my final design looks like. I tried to mimic its silver gradient with an orange one, and integrating Pokka's layout into my own. There is no cramping of information and everything is straightforward. It gives the viewers space to breath and browse through all that MARIGOLD has to offer.
